I have just set up both an APM 2.6 with external M8N compass and a new APM 2.8 using internal compass. The calibration goes well but the result seems to be 180 degrees out, as in when I point north it shows South and pointing west shows East.
This is the message I get from my APM 2.5 connected to Mavlink.
I don't know the cause. I did try connecting an external compass M8N and changed parameters to external compass connected. I tried to do a live compass calibrate but saw nothing moving on
