Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
We compete in AUVSI's UAS competition. We switched to an APM platform this year (2011) and ended up placing 18th out of 26. We also sponsor a research project for NJ Governor's School of Engineering and Technology (GSET). GSET brings the top rising high school seniors with an interest in engineering to Rutgers for four weeks in June and July. While there, the students take classes (for no credit) beyond what they would normally be exposed to in a high school enviroment. They also complete month-long small group research projects, culminating in technical papers and formal presentations. This year, we'd like to introduce our group to autonomous flight through use of the Ardupilot Mega platform.
