ArduIMU does not work as it should (getting no data)

Hi,

when i plug in IMU to Mega the system seems to work, but when i go into testmode and read the data i dont get any results. Looks like the Mega isnt getting any data from IMU (Gyro and Accel), barometric sensor works. When i press against the pins

ArduPilot with Airspeed Sensor

is there a way to connect the airspeed sensor directly to the ArduPilot board or do i really need the IMU/Shield?
