Scott Fuller replied to Michael Papenhagen's discussion Motor Got Ripped Out In Mid Flight in X-UAV Talon
"I started using 'Shoe Glue' or E6000 glue as it's known by in the states. Another 3dR engineer suggested it. It seems to almost melt the foam together. "

Scott Fuller replied to Michael Papenhagen's discussion Motor Got Ripped Out In Mid Flight in X-UAV Talon
"I had this happen with a Mini Talon with landing gear. I had a prop strike happen upon take off that caused some serious vibration at a certain motor RPM. Eventually the vibration jiggled the motor screws loose and the whole thing came off. In my…"

Scott Fuller replied to Thomas J Coyle III's discussion Autonomous RMRC Anaconda R/C Plane Project in ArduPlane User Group
"Thomas. I'm actually using the CC 20 amp BEC. That's why it became so concerning to me when the symptoms started happening. I will probably replace my servos in the not too distant future. The response 'your BEC doesn't provide enough power' that…"

Scott Fuller replied to Thomas J Coyle III's discussion Autonomous RMRC Anaconda R/C Plane Project in ArduPlane User Group
"Good luck. As mentioned in the thread.. You might want to add a capacitor in addition to the zener diode. I started noticing that one of my servos (included in the RTF kit) dies upon power up."

Scott Fuller commented on Gary Mortimer's blog post Whoop whoop live air traffic overlaid on Mission Planner
"From what I recall you have to download RTL1090.
http://rtl1090.web99.de/
You then enable networking in the config, so for example create a shortcut..
C:\Users\SheepPr0n\desktop\ADS-B\rtl1090.beta3\rtl1090.beta3.exe /30003 /multilat1
Insert the…"

Scott Fuller commented on Gary Mortimer's blog post Whoop whoop live air traffic overlaid on Mission Planner
"After using this in the field today, here's some constructive feedback. I still think this was a great addition to Mission Planner.

The biggest thing is the size of the air traffic icons. The plane picked up by ADS-B plotted in mission planner is…"

Scott Fuller commented on Gary Mortimer's blog post Whoop whoop live air traffic overlaid on Mission Planner
"So now the next question is.. Could we talk Flight Radar 24 allow us to feed not only ADS-B data for that location, but our drones location as well? Hmmm.. Of course that'd require a network connection. Which can be solved by a portable hotspot or…"

Scott Fuller commented on Gary Mortimer's blog post Whoop whoop live air traffic overlaid on Mission Planner
"This is awesome. Looks like you need to run RTL1090 and it makes the TCP connection over. Just tracked a flight outbound from SAN..
The only 'bug' I noticed was it takes FOREVER to close Mission Planner. "

Plus I have 3d printed parts for it up on Thingiverse as well.
It's a fun throw and go plane. I've been flying mine since May…"

Scott Fuller replied to Hugues's discussion Vtail mixing setup not clear in the wiki - any clarification ? in X-UAV Talon
"Hmm. I set my rudder up to do a coordinated turn...
http://jetairgroup.com/2013/03/19/how-to-make-coordinated-turns/
The way the Wiki puts it, sounds like I've been doing it wrong. "
