" Hi Johann,

My Easystar has ailerons, and a AR 6200 receiver, but I also use a DX7 transmitter.
I use the flap switch to control my 3 auto pilot modes and program the switch values as follows:-

"Lost Model Aircraft

My Twinstar UAV model was lost in July. It came down in a built-up area where there are some well fenced vacant lots, so I assume that either the local kids got it or else it is lying somewhere I can't search.

I was testing a…"

Hi,My autopilot is the UAV DevBoard from Sparkfun. Mine is the "old" green board which is now superseded by this red board http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=9038I'm posting this in the hope that others will share their…

"Hi Dave,

I am new to microprocessors and I find writing programs for the PIC to be very frustrating. Most of my previous assembler experience has been the 8086 family. I'm sure that this board will eventually do what I want. I've flown lots of…"

"Hi Dave,

The limitation in using the ET 312 board for aileron control is the orientation of the sensors. They are set up to measure pitch and yaw and control the rudder and elevator. I tried swapping the rudder output to the aileron channel on my 4…"

"Bill,

I may have an answer to my PICkit2 problem. You used an ICD2 which uses a 10K resistor between Vpp and Vdd, whereas the PICkit2 typically uses 470 ohms instead, I will try adding a resistor between the ICSP pins and see if that works.

"Bill,

Please can I ask you for a copy of the hex file that you used in your Gentle Lady.

I have re-built the code from the UAV2520V1a project and programmed my board, but without success. I should have downloaded the code that was in the board…"

"Bill,
I'm still waiting for my board so it's a bit early to make detailed plans. When I am up and running, I will try using the NEMA altitude output in a slow control cycle.
When you mention the velocity based on doppler shift are you referring to…"

"Bill,
I think that you are right. It should be OK with 6 volts and the 5 volt CPU regulator will be in use. I think that any Rx supplied at 6V instead of 4.8 will still output signal pulses at the same level. If it doesn't work 100%, then I will…"

I am 2.8 degrees W, but it's not far to the prime meridian! Thanks for thinking of me.

"Bill,
Thank you for commenting. Your manuals have been excellent. I gathered that you must have used the throttle channel like that.
I will use one channel exclusively to switch autopilot modes. My radio has mixable switches and unused channels. I…"

I have one on order and expect to receive it in about 3 weeks. I intend to try it in a Multiplex Magister (60 inch high wing electric trainer). I am working my way through Sparkfun's UAV Test Firmware code checking…"
