Thomas Robinson commented on Greg's blog post Drone hit British Airways plane approaching Heathrow Airport
"Queue the lectures and flaming of irresponsible people operating off the shelf products. Up next: a flaming on those that don't recharge lipos safely.  "

Thomas Robinson commented on Gary Mortimer's blog post Pixhawk Prizes for Pronto Pair :- T3 Back to the Future Winners
"I like the A44 Eaglet... Very practical. I have just looked on the web but cannot find any info on it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you for any help you can provide. "

Thomas Robinson commented on Marco Robustini's blog post Introducing the Lily Camera
"To me, this just appears to be some clever marketing that will fool the ignorant user.

Something just doesn't seem right here after reviewing the footage. "

Thomas Robinson commented on Shane F's blog post Protesters Disrupt Keynote Speech at LA Drone Expo
"I wonder if their next protest is at mobile phone manufacturing companies and security camera companies. These pose more of a threat to privacy in populated areas.

These protesters seem pretty ignorant. Perhaps someone can sit down and explain the…"

Thomas Robinson commented on Gary Mortimer's blog post Really fine RPAS filming
"I agree with you 100% - it becomes more about the aerial footage than the subject/objective. A multirotor is a tool (even though it's much more than that to all of us on here including me).
I think in this instance, it appears as though trades were…"

Thomas Robinson commented on OutbackUAV.com's blog post ACUO Opposes CASA Notice of Proposed Rule Making
"Mike T, You're right. CASA can't regulate every flying craft in the sky at any given time. Just like the Police cannot regulate all drivers on Australian roads at any given time.
It's when things go wrong and the incident is reported to the Police…"

Thomas Robinson commented on Joshua Johnson's blog post CAD Drones, LLC is searching for 20+ Volunteers!
"I'm sorry but I have to agree with Bill on this one. I'm interested to hear how many 'interns' you hire after the probation is over.
Personally, I would be pretty angry if I contributed to a project providing good quality work and found out at the…"

Thomas Robinson commented on OutbackUAV.com's blog post CASA NPRM May Free Lightweight Commercial UAVs
"Awesome news! I think that operators should still sit a 'common sense' test that has a range of scenarios relating to the safe use and practices for remotely piloted aircraft. Make it a small fee to cover the costs...
This way people must know how…"

Thomas Robinson commented on Gary Mortimer's blog post The official Bebop video
"I love it! However, not for me. Being so light, I think this little thing would get thrown around in the wind quite easily. On the plus side, when/if someone runs in to something like a person, it probably won't do much damage. "

Thomas Robinson replied to Mike Bell's discussion 3DR Y6 wont lift off in ArduCopter User Group
"I had the same problem on the weekend. This occurred after I had gone through the Mission Planner Wizard.
I discovered that the THR_MAX parameter had been set to 100. I changed this to 1000 and away I went.
This may be what is causing the issue.…"
