About Me:

I have background in biology and a strong interest in using new technologies to facilitate advanced ecology research and education. Most recently we developed a solar powered, gigapixel time-lapse imaging system called Gigavision. It can take up to a 3 billion pixel image every hour (check out http//www.gigavision.org).

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I'm interested in using/developing UAVs for long term time-series ecosystem observation.

"Last I checked DIYdrones was supposed to be a community board where people could have friendly discussions about things UAV related. I'd think the wisdom of flying a UAV in the middle of Vegas is a topic where people might have differing but valid…"

"I've got to side with Zak on this one. I love the team black sheep videos, they are totally awesome and push the limits of coming up with new cool ways to fly uav's. I show them in presentations all the time to convey to people why this technology…"

"Or you could just buy one of these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmiotJ6gtAI, just  in case you might need to run a secret payload 2200 miles on a tank of gas without detection.

"This looks great! We're interested in developing low cost uav solutions for scientists to monitor their field sites and make it easier to do repeat aerial surveys of remote research areas. The UAVs are getting cheap but good image stitching software…"
