"The u-Blox support team is extremely helpful.I would send them an image of your board, and they will be able to distinguish if it's a genuin u-Blox."

Todd Martin replied to Justin M's discussion I'm ready to drop 3DR, go with DJI in IRIS
"Justin,I'm unsure reading through the thread if you have decided on a new multi-rotor yet. Here's my take;I'm a UAV instructor, and the company I'm currently working for uses Phantoms for students on the flight line.. I, personally, after working…"

Todd Martin replied to Todd Martin's discussion Neo M8N and Pixhawk, No GPS fix
"Altitude Hold is now working properly on my current frame. I added a vibration mount, and elevated the Pixhawk to be above the prop-wash and so far there's no issues."

Todd Martin replied to Todd Martin's discussion Neo M8N and Pixhawk, No GPS fix
"Rob, I used the Pixhawk Controller as a way to access the GPS in u-Center. According to u-Blox, this isn't the best way to do so, but it should still provide data.I got off the phone earlier today, for a second time, with u-Blox support. It seems…"

Todd Martin replied to Todd Martin's discussion Neo M8N and Pixhawk, No GPS fix
"You know, I've been looking it up a bit. It could be a few variables such as prop wash. I also have to open up the board and check to ensure nothing is blocking it. I'm just about finished with my scratch built carbon fiber frame. Itching reaaaaal…"

Todd Martin replied to Todd Martin's discussion Neo M8N and Pixhawk, No GPS fix
"Yeah, I'm a bit worried about the Pixhawk unit I got too. I've flown it quite a bit now, but in alt-hold, it bounces up and down and is UNABLE to "Altitude-Hold".. $25 for a GPS, well, fine. But $200 for the GPS, Pixhawk, and a few accessories that…"

"As stated in my initial post, I left the unit outside for over an hour. The positioning of the GPS in relativity to the frame is not the cause of the issue.."

Todd Martin replied to Todd Martin's discussion Neo M8N and Pixhawk, No GPS fix
"There is a solid blue light displayed on the GPS. I've tried connecting via u-Blox's u-Center program, and the Packet Console tells me something alone the lines of, "Unknown", within lines of code. I would tell you exactly, but now it seems as if…"
