Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

Looking into the idea of starting arial video productions in Bali. Bought a hexa from Jani end of 2011, had a glitch. Nobody could help me, hexa in closet out of frustration. Want to take it out again and start from scratch ....

"Ellison,
Motors and ESC's were already attached when I received it, and I checked the motors directions one by one and they were according to the props. I didn't check on the heat though after trying .....I will do another test again tomorrow.

Hi Jani, Don, Gareth, anybody,I just did another take off test, after uploading the latest version of code again, but nothing changed. I still have that heavy tilt to one side when I open up the gas, so no take off at all is possible, the tilt is…

"OK Don, Jani just let me know all is right. The orange marked arm is the front in fact ! So, I have all props and motors the way they should be. So, the problem must be elsewhere. What do I do now ? Re-calibrate the ESC's ? Redo the level test in MP…"

"Thanks Don,
So the orange marked arm is indeed the back of the hexa ? Well, these settings are factory settings, so I will ask Jani about it, he had a test flight before sending it, so I'm surprised. If this inversion causes the strong tilt, my…"

"Hi,
Thanks a lot to Gareth ! I followed your advice to the letter and I managed to calibrate all my ESC's, I think. Although they didn't all react in the same way. Two of the six actually responded immediately to the full throttle when I plugged…"

Hi guys,I have resolved the RC problems. It was a defect receiver in fact, and after changing to a new one, the binding process worked fine, as well as the radio controls calibration. Now the next step : calibrating and arming the ESC's. I think the…

"Don, I always had the very rapid blinking of that blue LED on the board !
So, that means there is radio contact ?
I just did the test with a servo. The receiver was powered I suppose, as there was a red LED blinking. But when I moved the stick(s) on…"

"Yes, I can unplug the ESC's from the board, and the RC cables from my receiver and just power the receiver through the existing power cables with the battery through the hexa (red and black cables), and then connect with the servo on the throttle…"

"OK, Davey, I don't have my hexa here, I will check this all out on Thursday and come back to you with the result. I suppose you mean throttle with THRO.
But, is my setup with lippo and UBEC to power the receiver also good ?
Or, I'm thinking about…"

"Actually, I have a 14,8 V lippo. So please correct me if I'm wrong : lippo to UBEC (to transform to 6 V to power the receiver), UBEC to receiver, receiver to servo. Is that right ? "
