joebar.rc commented on Jose Alberto Soler's blog post DJI targeting the commercial market again
"No you can't. There is a difference between mandatory no-fly zones and the geo fencing beta. Only in the geo fencing you can self authorise a warning zone for 24h, but then you're information is stored that you requested that and that is information…"

joebar.rc commented on Jose Alberto Soler's blog post DJI targeting the commercial market again
"@rainer k,
Are those phantoms or just white quads because all recent phantoms (2+ on) are actually UNABLE to fly within the airfield crt (5-10K) due to having build in no fly zones.
So, especially phantoms cannot be responsible for that, the moment…"

joebar.rc commented on microuav's blog post Hijacking drones with a MAVLink exploit
"The context of the article is not correct, it is NOT about hacking mavlink. Mavlink in itself is not secure, it is not designed to be at the moment so there is nothing to hack.

"Hi Victor,

It will :). At the maker fair Hannover already dozens where on display and flying. A minor change was needed for the onboard spektrum receiver so the upcoming production version is without physical errors.

The best feature IMHO of the m4 is…"

"@Victor,
Besides the obvious shape and the use of a stm32 based MCU it can hardly be called a copy.
The m4 is stm32f405 instead of 103, use of different IMU sensors, use of a GPS module, CAN bus, on board spektrum receiver etc etc.
I did personale…"

joebar.rc left a comment for joebar.rc
"For AutoQuad and its android groundcontrol station you only need either a bluetooth adapter on the flightcontroller or if you for example want to use the 3DR radio (telemetry set) you can plug that into the android tablet directly IF the tablet (or…"

joebar.rc commented on Bryan Galusha's blog post iOS Groundstation on indiegogo
"Great idea, but $50 shipping?, sorry but that is ridiculous. I often participate on indiegogo and never have I seen this amount of shipping for such a small device."

joebar.rc commented on Arthur Benemann's blog post DroidPlanner - Ground Control Station for Android devices
"Great idea to make it for the APM.

With AutoQuad we're also doing this. Any wireless communication - rs232 can work now.
This is with an xbee
