About Me:

I'm more of a hardware guy but do some programming, im trying to learn a little bit more about C++ and arduino, and am excellent at solving hardware related problems.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I want to create/help create uav hardware, I like the challenge. starting with a few additions to an existing autopilot system and working my way up to a whole autopilot system. Imus are my favorite because of their complexity and decreasing cost.

marshall scholz commented on Chris Anderson's blog post More "drone journalism"--this time from a Moscow rally
" "the process several times to no avail was fired from the pistol"  I think it means that they were trying to shoot down the helicopter with the pistol, since this was more of a protest it kind of makes sense."

marshall scholz commented on Jordi Muñoz's blog post Please welcome ArduPilotMega 2.0!
"How long ago did you think of using 1 chip like the atmega16u or atmega32u for the mux and usb?  I ask beacuse I had it in a board design about a year ago and i like it that the diy drones development team thought about it too."

marshall scholz replied to Francina's discussion may i know the minimum wing span limit of mav in which the AP can be applied?
"you might be able to get away with using a dragonfly rc toy and outfitting it with a arduimu+ to save on weight beacuse you would have only 1 board, but i agree with paul, if you are not an expert, a flapping wing aircraft is probably not for you,…"

marshall scholz commented on Kevin Bloch's blog post How far can the original Ardupilot + IMU go?!

"I have recently been working on this : http://www.diydrones.com/forum/topics/ardupilot-imu
it is basically a stripped down oilpan for the regular ap that should cost around $35-40 dollars for a production version, if you are interested I can share…"
