I have played rc model plane since I retired , for about 8 years. I fly FPV for 3 years . My multicopter experiences are KK ,TMF and Arducopter.

Try copy all the libraries  under   ArduCopter-2.9.1\libraries  to   ArduPilot-Arduino-1.0.3-windows\libraries and verify compile it ."

I think the g.rc_2.pwm_out   is pitch   control output, to rear motors  is cos(0 ) =1 ,  to left and right motors  is cos(60) =0.5.
To get a same  twist angle  , the mortor on  longer virtual arm  need more power."
