"I've been to 4.1km with fixed wing FPV and I can tell you the props really lose bite up there. Also, most GPSes don't work over 3km altitude. Typical baros on FCs at very low pressures are almost useless."

A quick documentary of my FPV flight to Robben Island, where Mr Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.

 

Back then I was very worried about flying over water...

 

This was before Cruize mode :)

 

About 16km and 35 minutes, safe touch down!
