EDIT March 4th, 2013: Thank you very much for your feedback and patience!  We've got a good to-do list now, and rather than keep two stores up and running, we're going to take the beta site down until we're ready with all of the great feedback you provided.  It will be back again soon, but if you'd like to place an order now, please visit our current site at:  http://store.diydrones.com

In conjunction with updates to the documentation, we are also rolling out a new store! It's now in beta, so we're rewarding the brave folks who are willing to help us wring out the bugs. Only a small number of product categories are currently enabled; if what you want isn't among them, please use the regular store, which will continue to be the main way to buy gear until we take the new store out of beta.

From now through the rest of this weekend, you can order a select set of 3D Robotics hardware at an incredible 25% discount!

You can get to the new store at: http://store.3drobotics.com

While you're taking advantage of this offer, please be sure to take some notes on the experience and send us some feedback at: feedback@3drobotics.com

We appreciate your business and look forward to seeing what the community does with even more cutting-edge products in 2013!

Thank you!

  • Hey John C,

Its a really nice sale, even on the limited number of things your listing, but I think it would be toeverybodies benefit that if the main thing that people were wanting to buy (APM 2.5) was a little clearer. On Your main page you show them for $179.99 but when you go to the actual APM page  it is only the Telemetry Only version you are selling no combination of which will result in $179.99 pre sale cost.

Now selling the Telemetry only version is fine but it would be better to make that clear on the sale page and not also show as the item to be selected the $179.99 price of the base APM 2.5 with Mediatek and Power Supply.

Certainly when I first looked at it I presumed I could get a straight APM 2.5 with Mediatek GPS and power supply for $179.99 minus 25%.

Just might want to make this a little clearer on your pages.

  • Bill, you're in Canada, and you get stuff sent from 3DR with USPS?  I've actually only ordered from Canada Drones before, just to avoid this mess.  I was just checking to see if it was cheaper to buy from 3DR with this deal, but I doubt it.

And they don't have PX4 on it anyway, which is kind of what I was looking to get.

  • Thanks Dinos, it's Spree  http://spreecommerce.com/

    Nice bunch of people.

Again, please also send feedback to feedback@3drobotics.com

I'm trying to keep up in here as well, but we have more people looking at the e-mail address.

    Thanks!

  • What platform is used to create the shop? It is very nice!

@Rob: I get everything sent USPS and they don't check anything it seems. If i get it FedEx'd i get a $10 we looked at it charge plus taxes. I don't mind the taxes, just the excess charge, when FedEx know that this is going to happen. When I pay for shipping from 3DR the FedEx cost should be upfront, not tagged on later.

  • Yeah, I'm in Canada, so you can probably multiply that by 4.  Then another 4 for "brokerage". :(

  • $12.61 FedEx Saver to my US address.

  • I tried to go through checkout, curious how much the shipping charge was.  I went through as "guest" instead of registering an account. I ended up with an:

We're sorry, but something went wrong.

  • The sale is basically on the APM 2.5+ hardware and accessories.  I saved over $75.00 bucks on my order.  Thanks 3DR!

  • OK, I think I understand the APM 2.5 selection screen process now, but the way it's laid out is much less intuitive to me than the original drop down boxes or perhaps radio buttons. Part of my confusion is that the telemetry selection  doesn't have a "None" option, but the GPS and power module options do. Is this an oversight or are we now being required to include one of the telemetry options? It looks like others have also commented on this.
