3DR lifts off with powerful redesigned copters

    Any updates on the release date for the 2014 X4 frame as a DIY kit? I would be interested. It looks much cooler than the current 2013 Quad D frame that are available as a DIY kit.

    Also how difficult would it be to convert the DIY X4 kit into an X8 in the future? there only seems to be additional motor mounts in the X8 compared to the X4.

    I finally ordered the 2014 X8 RTF with every extra. Plan on adapting my raspberry pi to the unit. Hope I made a good decision.

    Rocklandusa- The 3DR Kits are nice and have continued to improve. We carry the 3DR line at www.aeroworksproductions.com

    I have not yet had the chance to test the new 2014 line as pretty much all of the Multirotors have been on Backorder. As soon as we get some in we'll do a video and review of them.

    Adam, you are one of my favs on YouTube and I greatly respect your opinions. Just confirm for me that you think the 3DR units are solid. I am ready to order the 2014 model with all extras. It basically has all the items I want including the Tarot gimbal and Hero 3+. Seems like the Pixhawk is solid.

    wonder why the IRIS has a higher payload capacity than the quad? Could this be a mistake?

    @Rocklandusa-  Thanks for watching the videos.  More videos and products coming to our website soon.  You are correct if you add all the extras it is a RTF but without there are not.
