  • Followed Grant's rover plan. This being my first, I'm looking for some OpenTX scripts or good tutorials for Taranis Plus setup. I'm going to have lots of gear on it as you can see.

Thanks for the feedback guys.  Gary - I haven't had a great deal to do with ROS so I'm afraid I've no advice to give other then I've heard setup can be complex so if the Erle Brain 2 eases that burden it sounds like a good choice to me.

    Thanks, Grant.

  • Fantastic video series Grant,

Definitely the most straightforward and comprehensive how to make an ArduRover instruction I have ever seen.

I have had a quite vocal hate / hate relationship with DF13 connectors since they were first introduced to us on the PX4.

Your technique of using a USB connector to pry them out is definitely novel, I will give it a try.

I have used the back edge of an Xacto knife blade successfully, but access is very limited on a Pixhawk.

My normal solution was to cut off the retention tabs, of course meaning they weren't retained quite so positively.

Never had one come out, but Rovers can bounce around a lot so maybe more likely.

I have a PX4 Traxxas Stampede Rover and starting on a Traxxas XMaxx Rover Build.

I am currently thinking of using an Ehrle Brain 2 on the XMAXX though because of it's reportedly superior interface to ROS.

If you (or anyone) has any thoughts on that I'd like to hear them.

Once again, great video series a real asset to our group.

Would like to see a video of it in operation especially with the new steering code.

    Best Regards,

    Gary
