    Richard,

"WOW, who cares, he flew , he crashed and nobody was hurt. People do stupid stuff everyday and peolple are hurt, Sh*t Happens and life goes on."

FAA,  other agencies all over the world cares,  we the diy  UAV enthusiasts care. A dozen  of such incidents will create media hysteria that effects all. You don't want licence, back ground/security  check procedure  to become a law/rule or a requirement to just fly a small fun/research  airframe.  Just because you are lucky enough not to have some thing like this crash on your head or brave enough to risk it while some stupid guy/s buzz around over your head does not mean others have to endure your " don't care " attitude. Ask your wife or kids how they would feel before you answer.

People do stupid things and if some else gets hurt , they go to jail too.... in civilized world

  • Amen, "Live and let die" as the song goes...

  • I wouldn't exactly say taking a DJI and crashing it into multiple buildings and flying recklessly in New York City is "living life"!... Just my opinion though.

Looks like alot of members here spend way to much time worrying about how other pople conduct themselves. Based on the post in this thread and the trappy thread I get the feeling alot of folks here are afraid to live life.

  • Smoking kills. Works on cigarettes.
Also with a permanent wider arm check which is not possible to turn of.

  • @ Jared and Randy,  Yes I agree too...some message that prompts a person to think through their actions.    I'd leave threats of prison of death out it...while possible it might be too extreme.

  • If you have to ask maybe it wasn't....

  • Looks like a "Copter" problem...Fixed wing would not typically have the same issues.

    This is a joke, right?

  • Aside from the main thread.

I am amazed how strong that Phantom is! The guy hits buildings a few times (hard to count as the footage is cut) and copter is still flying like nothing happened! huh
