The new revision - AUAV-X2 is ready. I performed all tests today - flashing bootloaders, flashing firmware, configuration, sensors test, receiver test, airspeed sensor test, servo tests, power tests, log tests, temperature tests, etc. It seems the "IRON" AUAV-X2 performs just fine. More pictures will follow.....

Nest week I'll fulfill all current preorders.

Best regards

Nick

@thomas: with the use of extended Kalman filter the reliability is of the measurements not just electrical MTBF. It reduces the chances of spurious readings upsetting the flight. The code supports the ST and Invesense parts. Sorry, but your assessment is incorrect.

You can also be able to upload firmware using APM planner 2.0 when using using the APM stack
  • That's good, does the price of 125$ includes voltage - current - power board ? When the first lot expected to ship ?

  • The firmware doesn't need customization, just plug the board to QGC, hit Connect and....have fun! The board comes preconfigured for EasyStar fixed wing, standard 8ch receiver via PPM, analogue airspeed sensor and uBlox GPS.

It is very easy to perform another config....just follow the steps as explained in the manual ( http://arsovtech.com/?p=1447 ).

    >Additionally, the ArduCopter code can function using only one gyro chip ( the Invensense component).
not true. Pixhawk from 3DR also uses the ST part. Newer releases of APM software coming can combine more than gyro sensors readings to help alleviate errors. This redundancy adds reliability.
  • This looks good now, has it been flight tested ? Does it need customization in the code before compiling or the standard Pixhawk firmware goes in it well ?

  • Correction, sorry for the mistake.

One can upload the firmware and use it with Mission Planner.

  • Hi guys,

Yes, the IMU has the full set of ICs - MPU6000 + L3GD20H + LSM303D. As you know, the LSM303D has an integrated e-compass. The IMU micro board and can be replaced with newer ( when newer sensors are available ) one at anytime. More, as you can see from the pictures, we are offering now a micro PCB with just a connector for external IMU use if one decide to.

Julien, yes, the X2 is fully compatible with Ardupilot/Arduplane, etc. One can upload the Mission Planner into it.

  • Hi there, is your board compatible with Ardupilot?

I've seen the matrixPilot on your website, is it your own firmware or a hack from another open-source project?

  • Is the compass on the separate imu board ?

The manual is ready too. You can download it from here ( just select X2 files ).
