Built up Three more PicPilots

Well my back ordered parts finally came in so I built up my last three PicPilot boards. I plan on keeping one of them so I'll have two to play around with. One is in my Tri Rotor and the other will be installed in the Easy Star clone I just received. Of the remaining two, I have one potentially sold leaving one up for grabs. If your interested the cost is $375.Thanks,Brian

  • Brian,

You've designed an amazing board! I'm curious to know if you have a web page or blog somewhere to discusses this board in further detail? I'm curious to see some of the data logs from these sensors while in-flight. Also, I'd really like to see how tightly the altitude can be held using the BMP085.

Let me know if you have any more detailed information on this platform.
  • I would also be interested if you're doing another run at some point...
    Best regards,
    Dan
  • Hi Brian,

I would certainley be interested if your are planning another run, finances permiting of course...

Many thanks for getting back to me.

    M_P,
All the boards are spoken for, but one is still waiting on payment. I'll let you know if it falls through. After looking into things I really don't see an issue with selling to the UK. I don't have immediate plans to build more, but if there is interest I can certainly do another run.

  • Hi Brian,

Just wondered if you had decided what you are going to do with your spare PIC Pilot PCB and if you would have any more available at later date that you would be willing to sell to people based in the UK?

Just wanted to check before I order a UAV development board V2 from sparkfun.

    Kind Regards,

    Rob

No more details to announce yet, but since it's based on Arduino Mega (but a lot smaller and optimized for RC/GPS) you can see the basic I/O specs here.
  • Pretty cool Chris! Is there a place or a blog with any information about the features you are going for? Would love to contribute
  • Chris,

Can you talk about which sensors the ArduPilot Mega will have? How many servos (PWM outputs) will it have?

    Thanks

Yes, we'll be releasing ArduPilot Mega, based on the Atmega1280, towards the end of the year. It won't have quite as many sensors and stuff, but heading in this direction.
  • Anyone thought about doing something like this with a ATmega1280?
