I've had bad experiences with the last innovations DJI came up with in the last 6 months.
In my opinion Lightbridge isnt that great.
Just received the Zenmuse the second time from the dealer.. Now its not working together with the Lightbridge as it should.
I'm not impressed at all.
For the price point I should not be the beta-tester!
Glad it wasnt my money but you might get an idea how the colleague feels with a huge amount of money wasted and still not working solution "out of the box".. pfff
With DIY hardware i am at least able to fix problems without sending the whole thing back to the dealer. It is annoying.
With this and the Ghost it really shows that the RTF demand for drones is growing at a much faster pace than the DIY ones, that may even be in decline. "Most" people, besides us, want to open a box and take a "dronie". With this price it is not geared for the consumer, but more for the up and coming "prosumer" market that wants to, for example, get into realtor or advertising contracts, to start a business for a somewhat starter price. Anyhow I still think my videos from my DiscoPro/APM 2.6/GoPro with spline out does the videos from the T600 that I have seen.

Brand new controller and yes waypoints are available as well as auto take off and land.
The main innovative thing they did was put all that stuff on a RTF platform. Like Hugues said, none of it is new, just now it's in an all-in-one package that someone can buy and use, which advances the hobby in one sense but doesn't really do much in the way of advancing the pure technical aspects of this field. People have already been doing HD FPV through micro single board computers, optical flow is already on all the Parrot drones, the changing frames where there are retractable legs have been done before (Top Flite Technologies), so none of what DJI did is really a pure technical advancement. However, getting it all together on a RTF ship is great and hopefully the performance of it will help push other players along to make it easier for people to get in to.

@mP1, I agree with the point they packaged lots of (not new) features in a very nice total package for an OK price; for those who like to buy a RTF. In the end it is not uniformity of opinion than matters; I am sure this model will do well in their targeted market segments (in which I obviously do not find myself).
@Mustafa, mP1, if you read what I wrote you will notice I recognize the DJI marketing and commercial genius (that has effect on you two obviously). All the technical stuff you mention already exist for a long time in the drone world : SDks, optical flow, stabilized camera gimbals, HD cameras, inflight moveable landing gear, etc etc
@Hugues, you clearly wanna ignore what they have done and looks like you are a fan boy(3dr), don't be. They come up with a unique frame which can form into two different frame shapes, one at the take off one at landing. This way they removed bulky landing gear(which is a hell of innovation).
First of all they know where to head off(which is of course aerial video - photography) So they integrated shutter control, take snap shot button, they also integrated hdmi port right into remote control so that you can directly stream the video to a tv during roll outs(which is another hell of an innovation).
They relased an SDK so that a high end RTF drone can reach hands of a developer who don't wanna deal with tech. stuff(which is another innovative idea)
They have an optical flow sensor underneath the drone for indoor flights(don't tell me that i can do this with apm, they integrated it right into a rtf drone, ask your self do the 3dr has an integrated flow sensor on iris+ in standart?)
Unlike 3dr they are really thinking out of the box!!! That design is a hell of a design. Now please don't be a fan boy and say there is no innovation, if you say so clearly you don't have an idea what do innovation means.
@mP1, LightBridge was innovative when it came out a while ago. This is nothing new.
This tech is available independently of Inspire 1. Additionnally, lots of DIY drones integrated HD fpv long ago too.
