Thanks to all who came out. The highlight was seeing Jack's amazing monocopter flying autonomously. I hadn't realized it, but the secret to the autonomy is the robot camera on the ground that tracks it with a two-axis gimbal it as it flies. Here's a picture of that:
I will be there. The website of this place says that it is open for visitors only on Thursdays. I really hope that they let me in as I will be driving all the way from Santa Clara.

This post inspired me to wonder if there is a hackerspace in Toronto. And there is, sweet!
