Flexacopter the making of.

After creating the Arduspyder. We decided to create a real hexa. These are pictures of the making, maiden will be this weekend. Because of the purpose this frame is build for we sadly did not opt for an Arducopter but the frame will take an Ardu, Openpilot CC, Microkopter or any other hexa capable electronics.

  • However Canon DSLR, yes they use CMOS and with rolling shutter (I think), but I believe they worked out all the issues of rolling shutter. I've never seen a Canon DSLR pic or vdo with those can of issues.

  • Ah yes. You are right. Nikon (or any other camera) with CCD imager is free from rolling shutter (they have different set of 'issue'). Sorry for neglecting it, seems like I've been shooting with Canon for a bit too long :-p

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but at least Nikon DSLRs are CCD which commonly use global shutter.

  • Sorry I.S. but DSLR does have rolling shutter :-)

Maybe not as bad as GoPro and such but they do have. Under certain level of vibration and shutter speed, it can be as obvious as GoPro.

  • isn't that a DSLR? DSLR usually don't have rolling shutter.
Should test it with a gopro or even lower quality camera for that purpose

  • Wire dampers indoor test, without gimbal stabilisation (no servo connections), video is shot in the evening so sorry for the low light conditions, but the wire damper seem to work very effective, no rolling shutter or whatever!!
This is raw material without editing!!

    prices for me too... :-)

  • I. too would like kit prices, shipping cost to the US, and source for documentation. (Although, the pictures in these threads is better than some others assembly instructions.)

    Great work.

  • +1 for kit prices :)
