Incredible "creatures" - we saw them today at the Gadget Show Live (NEC, UK), as in the video (which I guess was taken yesterday before the huge crowds were let in) and then in the Super Theatre show. They were being remote controlled due to limitations of the venue but apparently they can be made to operate autonomously with a defined perimiter. The presenters said that they 'cost' £500k - but I'm guessing that this is based on the development costs of the overall programme rather than the actual cost to build one. (Alternatively the Gadget Show presenters may have just made up a figure).
The nose and tail shape control seemed to be very effective in steering them and they were wonderfully graceful to watch.
