The FPVRaptor is an attractive and superbly designed FPV platform with a a host of neat features that make this model one of the best in its class.
For toughness and reliability, the model features a blow moulded fuselage which utilizes Nylon and is virtually indestructable, the flying surfaces are all made from tough EPO foam. From point of view of practicality, the wings are plug in and the model requires no glue for assembly, everything simply screws together. The outer canopy is purely for looks and is used when the FPVRaptor is flown as a glider, it unclips in seconds to reveal a camera ready platform, complete with a pan/tilt servo mounting hole that has been pre-moulded. This large camera platform/wing cover is secured by a quick release latch and once removed, reveals huge canopy area for mounting batteries and FPV equipment onto a pre-fitted ply plate. All servos, motor & ESC are of course pre-installed.
The plug in wings have mouldings for adding flaps if desired and there is also a moulded C of G indicator on the underside of the wing for quick pre-flight checks. There is no doubt that this is a superbly designed, high quality FPV model at an excellent price. It would be fair to say that it is more attractive to look at than most FPV platforms, not to mention much tougher, the FPVRaptor will give the RC Pilot hours of enjoyment for many years to come!

You acknowledge there have been too many recently, yet somehow those other affiliate advertising posts on the front page right now seem to be made by you as well. Note how the blog post about the Skywalker being available used a regular link rather than an affiliate one. That's how it should be.
I'm fine with affiliate links if they're justified. If you're associated with a product or give an in-depth review, by all means go ahead. But spamming them every time a product pops up is ridiculous. It cheapens DIY Drones and it's obvious you're just trying take advantage of the traffic this site receives. The fact you insist we don't discuss it is a pretty clear indicator you realize you shouldn't be doing this.
There's no need to stop the product updates, but you're not doing anything to justify making a quick buck off of them.
Ok, but this is not the place to discuss. Like I said, I have discussed this with Chris and I have his ok to write blog posts like this, but the past few days there have been to many to his liking and I can understand that. I have suggested to see if there is a way to mark posts as 'commercial' and giving people an option to not show 'commercial' posts, but this is currently not possible with the software used for DIYdrones.
Please start your own topic for a discussion how you like the topic of commercial blog posts should be handled.
I get Nick's argument in a way..
If someone posts a link to a new product and discusses it, thats ok for me. Even better if he has tested it before!
But just copy and paste the manufacturers info is really not much.
More focus on the main topics in the blog would be nice...
You said that yesterday too (different post). You can skip the commercial posts if you don't like them, most of them are obvious by looking at the title or picture.
Affiliate links are allowed here, as are blog posts from people that want to give information about new products in their shop. I have been discussing this with Chris. It's just a coincidence that a few products were released the past couple of days and were posted here.
Product updates are nice and all, but I'm getting rather tired of seeing Hobbyking affiliate links every other day. It's not so much blogging as it is tasteless advertising.
That's not a Raptor, this is a Raptor!
Sorry did you use the word attractive? It looks ugly as.
Are the fasteners thread-forming, or do you have threaded fittings in the fuselage / wings / etc.?
Uhhh, blow molded.... Did they advance the technology on this or is it still this material thats cracking easily when its cold and nearly impossible to repair? Had my last fuselage made of this more then 10 years ago... not missing it.
And why do they call it "composite"? At first read I thought of glass/carbon...
You can get the 2M FPVraptor version at HobbyIC. 89$
