We begin the tour of Iris' guts by looking at the new 4-in-1 ESC/Power Module. Each ESC is rated at 20amps capacity and is running the SImonK firmware for enhanced response and stability. The onboard Power Module provides regulated power to the flight control board, in addition to voltage and current monitoring.
An aluminum heatsink is attached to the power handling transistors
This 4-in-1 represents an elimination of 110 grams when compared to four individual ESCs, Power Module, and Power Distribution Board.

Oh, so the 30A unit is not HobbyWing. I checked there website and didn't see it, so that explains that.
I have a coupld of the Quattro 25A's and like them.
@OG,
This one is too in the list for 4x20Amp ESC's: (112gms)

@OG,
This looks quite nice. Looks similar to what 3DR is proposing. However, the link you posted does not include a heat sink with it. The weight is quite amazing, says 60g.
If it is used for 850kv motors with 10"x4.7 props (which require 20Amps), it should still work quite good. Correct me if I am wrong!
OG, they have an even bigger Quattro now? Cool.
Keep the details coming, I look forward to learning more about the guts. :)
Is that available separately or only in the Iris?
These are really nice developments. One thing I hate about ESCs is the damn wire mess, this will take care of it. Hope this makes it into the store soon.
What about the size of the board ?
By the way, does this provide any way to feedback motor RPMs to the PX4? That would be a nice feature.
Nice! I was hoping something like this was coming when Justin wrote "This ESC/Power Module will handle 4s battery voltage." in the Iris thread. My dreams have come true!
