Here's my 1st mapping test flight with a Skyhunter twin-boom pusher. Im running Arduplane 2.73. Mapping camera is a Canon s95 running an intervalometer script via chdk. Its suspended from a single axis gimbal that keeps the camera pointing down regardless of aircraft bank angle. Video shot from a GoPro 3 Black Edition.
It took 120 photos during the 10 minute flight, and stitched with PT GUI. I need to refine my grid spacing and polygon locations relative to the target area, and intervalometer timing. The generated map is a little rough, but its a great start.
I gave up on using the APM trigger at 3m from waypoint function as I couldn't get it to work and there's just no documentation on it.

Heres a picture of the gimbal. I robbed it from an old Gaui 330x gimbal kit that I had lying around... couldn't have been a better fit. The large cable in front is the usb trigger that's not even being used since Im shooting using the intervalometer.

Great you've got going now at last, bet you're pleased with the results. I reckoned on mapping about 4.6 hectares with the current waypoint limit, so the area you've covered can't be far away from that.
Did you use the geotagging feature on MP to tag the images, you can use it to callibrate the timing of the camera to MP to get the trigger positions spot on.
What sort of gimbal are you using, did you make it yourself?

You can use the video out from Canons but every time you take an image the screen blanks. I have only used Canons for at least 4 years now. Those images are great try putting them through photosynth.
Nice waypoint flight! Is it possible for you to share original photos to try making a map by myself? I'll send you a complete 3d model and high resolution orthophoto)
Awesome Aerial Map!!! Do you find canons easy to convert FPV?! Or do you not use it for FPV.
