    Hexacopter has many advantages like motor failure redundancy, BTW has it been taken care in the code ?

    If due to any reason say one motor fails then the opposite motor has to be stopped first.

    Is stable mode dependent at all on the PIDs for aero mode?  I haven't tried stable mode yet on my hexa, but aero mode is alot less stable than my RC heli and alot alot less stable than my AR.Drone

    I played alot with the parameters and use the newest 1.6 Firmware on the Mtek GPS.

    The 1.6 works much better for me than the 1.4!!

    The rest is tuning your PID values which contains on your copter ( how much motors, weigth, etc. )

    Norf what did you do to get such a good and accurate position hold.  I would love to be able to get the sort of hold you're getting, right now my AR.Drone shits all over my ArduCopter in terms of stable position hold.
