Hi All
Been reading thru this site for awhile & have taken the plunge of making my own UAV the Scaneaglet by Le Phan.
Things in work have gone very quiet so if "she who must be obeyed" leaves me alone i hope to complete it in a couple of months.

Have had the drawings for sometime now & just waiting for delivery from laser cutter :)

I'll be doing a build thread here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1551590#post20065006
Damn, I'm in shock, this looks like an awesome drone
Nice looking plane. Good job.
If it's for your own use and not for "doing work" then those men in black from Boeing will be picked up by the men in white!
The men from Boeing wont be a problem because i couldn't give a flying fook, I love an argument.
TBH I'm more worried about the men in white coats, try convincing them that I'm sane & they'll throw the keys away :)
!
As has been mentioned before, we can build any design we want, the only issue companies can take with us is if the craft is used for a commercial venture... Then things like patents and copyright take effect.
I'm a little sensitive about this topic...
I had an uncle who was sued by RCA just because his little company was called RCH. RadioControlHeadquarters - seventy years ago! ClintonBDeSoto!
Do not offer this platform for sale... 2 men i black will hunt you down.
Hi
His build tut is on http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=549982&highligh...
@UT 60 inch wingspan made mostly from balsa wood
@Simon sorry cant send you a copy as he has put alot of time into it & i dont think it would be fair hope you understand. As John says contact him on his site, its not listed but just ask him & he'll send them out.
I will be doing a build thread here if i can.
Er don't forget Boeing sent out all sorts of cease and desists when people tried to use the design before, so be careful if your thinking commercial use. Otherwise it is a fantastic airframe.
The plans are sold by Le Phan at http://www.chaokhoekhongcom.com/ (not shown on the page)
Just email him and ask for the ScanEaglet plans.
Thats a nice model!, what is the wingspan and what material did you use?
Thanks
