Like a lot of people here i am building my first quad. To be straight forward it is of the Rctimer Shop.

Learning a lot from all of you guys it is now time for me to give something back, although my Copter isn't flying yet :D

I designed a mount for the Neo 6 Gps Receiver or better say the Crius PCB.

Nothing special, nothing fancy! 2x small Screws and Done.

Preview and Download the .stl File HERE

Make sure you download the FIXED ! Version not the Original!

  • 3692695981?profile=originalNow that is teamwork... really nice....

  • Fist Try

    will continue tomorrow...

  • That should do it.

Will use the left hole Centered in the middle axis of the Mount as the "pivot" point to get the angle right.

  • Hey thanks,

yes, the connection is to the right where the APM is and the measurements are to the center of the hole and the holes are 3mm.

    hope that helps.

    cheers.

  • Nice schematics ! I can work with that!

    2 more questions:

I presume the Connector goes to the right towards APM- right?

All messurements are center hole - center hole ? 3mm hole?

Will check on Postage tomorrow but should not exceed 1,45 € so 2 $ should be fine.

Here is the picture with comments, You can see that there are 3 holes on the frame. any 2 would do. They are spaced out with the measurements.  With your 2 holes to mount the GPS and the 2 holes to mount to frame.  Orientation is marked in red.  I could work with your diagram to create a Gcode File...

P.S. just noticed you are in Germany.  let me know if postage is more.  From North America it takes about $2 to mail anything anywhere in NA.  ;-) In an envelope.

  • No! you are fine! No hi-jack! All good!

A CNC is always a nice thing to have! Waiting for mine continues.. :D

Where do you need those Holes? One ?Two? No Problem, just a matter of some klicks...

  • I am just waiting on some props to test out a change i did for vibrations.. my carbon fibre props were crazy for the vibrations.  I am still waiting to the 3d-printer project.  ;-) I just finished a cnc machine build and could cut it out of plastic when i get the power supply for that to work too.  Didn't mean to hi-jack your thread.  A 3mm hole would be great as it will fit snug on my Flip-FPV Frame.

I do have the GPS configured with 3dr.txt.  all is working good, 3d fix no problem, inside and outside.

I will PM my address to you...

  • Thanks !

As my copter isn't flying yet, i dont have any knowlege about vibrations regarding the GPS receiver.

It was a 5 min Design and a 5 Minute print. But all in all it fits nice without any wobble.

@LTMNO 5$ sounds good! Send me your postal adress and i will send you a copie.Do you need special holes as Drilling through the Material makes it a bit weak. Printed Holes keeps the Structure's strength. Although there is not much "stress" to it.

Do you have your GPS "flashed" with the 3DR-txt? or does your standard config work for you?

    Anyone else wants one?

Maybe I'll design a 3DR-Telemtry Cover/Housing too...Velcro does it for the moment too.

    Andreas =)
