The drawings I've made in Rhinoceros; very simple and useful tool. After watching few tutorials I was able to draw this project.

Prototype, the surface not finished yet.

    Dzięki Jacku :)

  • Pitch GB 2808

    Roll GB 4006

Yaw GB 4008 or 5208 with slip ring

    Its enough power.

on one side we have motor and in to opposite IMU sensor.

Enought power? What motors you are used on each axes?

  • Lazy,

one axis one motor. In case of roll, on one side we have motor and in to opposite IMU sensor.

  • Rob,

basically I'm satisfied with the gimbal. Is very light and most important thing is stiffness. The test gimbals has Alex 32 bits with typical IMU sensor. I think the next step is consider to use encoder. In this case we will not loose any step and environment temperature changing will have no influence for gimbal behaviour..

    Superb!

    One axis - one motor?

  • Very nice looking. How well does it work? I've been struggling for a long time trying to get any open-source DIY gimbal working properly.

  • Nice design, I like it.
