  • Also, it's tough to tell from your pics, but if they aren't already, please PLEASE get the props well above the occupant, especially if their head is to be the highest part. You don't want any possibility of a prop fracturing and shooting into the occupant's head.

We have now ordered a number of test motors with Hobby King with the combination of timing belts; not ideal but relatively OK in terms of costs. Alternatives of direct drive are also being investigated."

This is an awesome project, I wish you the best of luck!  However, there's no way in a BEELION YEARS I'd get in an aerodynamically unstable object powered by hobbyking motors :)

  • I like the prone position, would be a great application of Superman flight mode

  • I've personally built a drone, and even though I think they're cool, when it comes to putting me into the air, I still want directional control when I lose power.

Can you guys put a somekind of wing on it, much like the hang-glider on your site? The extra weight would be offset by the power savings having the wing be what keeps you aloft, and you could still do VTOL.

Maybe this human pilot has been been augmented thanks to a pixhawk implant ? (as long as it is in the brain and nowhere else, why not...)

    Winfried,

How can it qualify as a "drone" when there is a human onboard?

Or are you assuming that the onboard human is just a passenger and the "drone" is being piloted remotely?
