What's the limit on number of waypoints?

Config%20Tool%20106%20points.gifAnyone know what the max number of waypoints you can add to the ArduPilot? Here's a quick and easy 106 points setup in about 2 minutes.Download Here: ConfigTool.zipFor those of you who'd like to mess around with my changes, I've posted the compiled application. I'm working with Jordi and will be happy to post the source once we've added a few more things.Right now, typing values in the grid doesn't do anything and neither does editing the "home" location (at the top left).Just unzip both files into a directory and run the exe.

  • Hi Happy,
Enter a Home and Waypoint 1 only. Use the google map scale ruler to seperate the points by 2 miles. Should the Total mission distance be 4 miles? Its doesn't, it reads 6.3 miles. Why is this so?
  • Yeah, I haven't figured out why the waypoint over longer distances disappears. There's nothing in the code that should do that. As near as I can tell it's an issue with 2 polylines on top of one another. Maybe if there's only 1 point I should just draw one line.

As for the distance, are you saying it's off by 4 miles over the course of 5 thousand, 9 hundred, 83 miles? Or just under 6 miles?
  • Nice job, it appears the total mission distance is not correct. I used a simple stright line "Home" to waypoint 1 and back ( latitude 30 degrees North). Its off, actual distance is 4.0 miles round trip, your program lists 5.983 miles.
Also the blue coarse line disappears in the zoom mode as I scroll along.
  • Everyone, please download and try again.
  • i m using version 6.0.83 of IE
  • HI HKM and chris i m using XP and it opens the window which looks like this . it displays simply maps.html file which is blank and shown in right side of screen... it shows internet explorer script message error

Happy, why is it that when you read the waypoints in, the map changes to a static display where you can't move the waypoints or interact?
  • Gary, thanks for the tip, I didn't know that project.
  • Thanks! I'm still hard at work on it.... I've got a few changes on the way!!!!
  • This works like a charm, thank goodness for this update. No More manual entering of sites, just enter starting lat long and the map updates and you can click your waypoints. Awesome, thanks Happy!!!
