Bravo! Nice staging of the waypoints, allowing you time to take over if thing aren't working well and to catch up with the car. How were you recording the onboard video?

Thanks Chris!
I have a Pentax Optio s5z which I use for stills and /or video on this small UAV. It has a suitable video (640x480) and is capable of photos with motor running with good results. And it works with the prism ir trigger...

Icebear, That was a great video (as was your previous). How heavy is your plane? I am really asking how you are powering her. 6 miles seems to quite good for one battery . Also do you have any downlinking of data/video/imagery etc?

Thanks a lot!

My plane is quite light and weighs in at 35 oz plus the camera (5 oz) so a total of 1,1 kilos or 40 oz.

It runs with a MEGA 16/25/4 brushless with APC 8x6 prop and I get a consistant 20 minutes cruise time on a 3S-2170 mAh Flightpower EVO pack.
With the new EVO lite 5350 mAh I am guessing I could get 50-60 mins but I haven't tried yet...
Range is normally 7-8 miles depending on conditions (average 4 miles/Ah in this season).

Cruise speed is around 40 kph or 25 mph.
We had a tailwind of 6-7 mph this time so that left me with 33% in the pack after the 18 minute flight - not bad!

I have no downlink installed unfortunately, so the video is just recorded in the camera.

Don't smoke while driving.

Whats the music?? As ever well worth watching your videos, really cool stuff.

You really want to be taking off along the road, not across it!!!

Well done Bjorn!

Ha! I had almost forgotten about this mission...
You are right Gary - I prefer less anxiety level during take off but there is no rudder wheel on the Supermiss...
The music is Modest Mousr featuring Johnny Marr on guitar (of the Smiths fame!)

Wonder of that Vastergard had reward points.
