  • 3d Robotics Quadcopter-Ground Control Case

    Ok, I now have my 3d Robotics quad, telemetry, OSD/FPV, etc.

    I would like to have a hard case to carry my quad in and another to put laptop in with all the pripherals, so when I get onsite I will have limited assembly to make ready for flight.

    I am not seeing cases big enough or deep enough for the quad with the camera mount extend legs, I could make one, but thought surely others have been there and have good suggestions.

  • Nice little talk by the Roswell Flight dudes in Portland. Good tutorial for those interested in what all this 'drone' stuff really is. They actually plug ArduCopter/3DR in their talk in favor over DJI. KOOL! Hope you enjoy.

  • Reply to +David Pawlak. Assuming your bought the RTF, your three position switch defaults to Stabilize, Loiter and RTL. You can reconfigure these in Mission Planner if you like. You will need to reprogram your radio to add the ability to select more flight modes from the Transmitter switches. This link will help if you got the Spektrum DX7s. I strongly recommend that you check and tighten all airframe screws! The X8 is mostly RTF, but it will be a lot easier to control if you perform compass and accelerometer calibration. Remember to select APM with external compass. I also suggest manual setting of your magnetic declination. I really like my X8 and get flight times of 16 mins or more with a 3S 6 amp 20C Lipo.

    Latest stable version, modes of operation, troubleshooting etc. I have a PixHawk, I suppose modes of operation are similar, channel asignments etc.

  • How do I make my apm 2.5 quad a bit more responsive in stabilize mode? its a little sluggish kinda slow, I want a little faster foreword flight.also is it normal for the quad copter too loose a lot of altitude during foreword flight? whats a good takeoff weight for a dji 450 clone? running a Zippy 4500 may compact lipo , takeoff weight is at 1245g

Building Possibly My Last Multicopter

I left the hobby in 2022 after the crash of my Tarot Ironman due to a propeller blade separation resulting in complete destruction of the aircraft. Since then I have been flying an old DJI MAvic Pro that I bought used from a photographer who wanted to upgrade. Anyway, recently l've thought about wanting to build one more multicopter. Drone flying to non visible point

Hi there,I encountered a problem, while flying in auto mode, with approching to point that was not set by trajectory and is not visible after downloading mission from flight controller by Mission Planner. Does anybody encountered similar problem. The situation is that in the middle flight I stopped the UAV and uploaded new mission and after changing to auto mode it starts to fly in some direction. TAKEOFF WITHOUT USING GPS

HELP quadcopter: one motor twitching and stuttering
