  • Hi Guy's

So after checking my APM voltage regulator out put per the link it had 4.4 v so i ordered the new parts from digi key the board is the 2.5.2 they came i installed the new reg checked the out put of the new reg it measured 4.8 v so what gives ?

  • Hi guys,

Any advice on what gimbal model will allow me to use two cameras simultaneously? I am not sure if such a gimbal exists? Additionally, would it be possible to remotely trigger two cameras at the same time? Thanks

  • these look interesting may order 1

  • the voltage is 4.3 v and my flight data page was not going crazy as most have described only the bad gyro health so wait and see i guess.

  • Good deal.  Just out of curiosity, what voltage did you measure?

  • I have checked the voltage at the regulator and it is above 3.3 v so i have ordered a replacement for it my hope is that nothing else has gone down.

    Thanks for the help

  • @Dennis,

This regulator is being used to take the 5V board input and regulate it down to 3.3V.  When a regulator fails, it could fail multiple ways, no output (Hi-Z), output grounded, or output shorted to input, for example.  This one in particular seems to favor failing with the output (normally 3.3V) shorted to the input (5V).  You will need to perform the check documented in the video on the page that I linked to confirm if this is indeed the issue that you are observing.  It's a pretty simple test if you have a basic multimeter.  If that's the issue, replacing the regulator should get you back up and running.

  • Ok so help me wrap my head around this the regulator blows but it dose not blow open as i would expect it leaks a higher voltage i think the chip quality is the issue.

So after the regulator is replaced everything works normally ?

  • Thank you Bo Wingo! This is exactly what I need.

Building Possibly My Last Multicopter

I left the hobby in 2022 after the crash of my Tarot Ironman due to a propeller blade separation resulting in complete destruction of the aircraft. Since then I have been flying an old DJI MAvic Pro that I bought used from a photographer who wanted to upgrade. Anyway, recently l've thought about wanting to build one more multicopter. I enjoyed the challenges of building one plus the satisfaction of flying something I built. So I decided to once again embark on a build project. My needs…

Drone flying to non visible point

Hi there,I encountered a problem, while flying in auto mode, with approching to point that was not set by trajectory and is not visible after downloading mission from flight controller by Mission Planner. Does anybody encountered similar problem. The situation is that in the middle flight I stopped the UAV and uploaded new mission and after changing to auto mode it starts to fly in some direction. It goes straight to some point, so I assume it's not mechanical problem. I attached the link to…
