Hey guys - i'll be heading to Williamstown tomorrow morning and be there around 0900.
For those of you that don't know that is, please see the location post.
Hope to see some other copters out there.
Cheers,
David.
Hi Marc, If I had known you were coming (I would have baked a cake?), I would have asked for your number - but as you can see, I did update here with what was happening this morning. However, sorry that we didn't get to catch up this morning.
You missed what could be only called an interesting morning, with what was the first I time I can honestly say that I crashed and burned. Actually.
Looks like I had a motor failure, went cartwheeling into the ground and then had my LIPO catch on fire. Interesting indeed.
Minimal damage considering, but just need take it all apart and rebuild whilst checking for other damage along the way.
I'll be out again next weekend with this prototype so will let you know where then.
You do raise an interesting point though about locations. The exact location has been mentioned in one of the discussions here, but I'll create a new one that's only for flying locations - with maps.
Cheers,
David.
Yeah, I am at Royal now, not too much breeze, but pretty damp. I will head to MHS. Let me know when you leave.
NB
The time will change though given it's drizzling at the moment so will probably be there in a hour or so. I'll post here when I'm heading there.
Not ideal, no, but the worst of it is around Geelong / Avalon way according to the radar. I'm still going to head out but will just go to Melbourne High School as that's all I need and there's shelter there if the showers persist.
Hey Dave
I was planning on coming out to Royal Park meet you this morning but given the weather, I suspect you may not fly? If you are, let me know where you will be. If you are not flying, then happy to meet up for a coffee?
NB
Btw - let me know if you are planning to head out tomorrow morning so I know to keep an eye out for people and / or head to the normal spot.
Hey guys - so flying this sunday again. Weather isn't meant to be super, but will still give a good chance to try out some bits and pieces, new designs and new flying modes.
Location is Royal Park - nice open spot. Time: I'll be there from 0830.
Hope to see some of you there.
Cheers,
David.
interesting development activity within the Open Pilot project. A clever clogs has ported Ardupilot onto the OP Revolution board.
worth following / comparing when the navigation code is released for Revo.
