Hey guys - just an update here.  The meet this Sunday will be postponed due to weather.  Predicted 30km/h winds with some stronger gusts.  I'll come back with another date shortly.  But in the meantime, for those saying they hadn't quite built what they had hoped, it will give those guys some extra time to pull some stuff together. (:

Hey guys, so...  Winter is over and it's about time we held a meet to see what's been happening over winter and see what people have been up to. (:  And Krzysztof, that means seeing your beast. (:

Obviously this is weather permitting, but I propose next Sunday, say from 10:30 at Deakin Uni.  There is a location guide in one of the discussion posts above.

I do ask though, that you please respond if you are going to attend - just so I can get in touch with people if something needs to change.

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi Scott,

See how you go with the others, but of course I'm happy to give some help where I can.

  • Hi Melbourne Team. I am building a multi copter to take down to Antarctica. I am having some problems with my T-Motor U8 motor/ESC combination and was wondering if anyone around Melbourne has some experience and willing to do a little consulting (ie. paid) - as I am running out of time and looking for some help. Thanks. scottp@dd.com.au.

My my my it's been quiet.  I hope everyone has been flying or developing things during the winter.  I was thinking that it's time to catch up again.  Would be great to see what people have been working on or flying.  Happy for people to come to MARCS (Derrimut) and fly there.  I have my bronze wings so any copters can fly under me in the large paddock we have there.  Alternatively, I was thinking about doing something near Williamstown again to get some video footage of the ships.  If either one of those sounds appealing, let me know.

Also, <plug>and I'm only doing this because people have asked, but I have put up an online store with the more popular 3DR gear that people appear to want in Australia.  I usually have more gear readily available so let me know if you want anything else.  Site address is SkymationUAV The Talon, Droidworx and Tiger gear will be going up shortly too.  </plug>

One final point, I just had a call with 3DR about some developments and product designs and there's some exciting new 'prosumer' gear coming out at the end of this year or early next.  Worth keeping an eye out for that.

    Hope everyone is warm!

  • Not sure if there are any rules around this on the forum, I have a DX6i and AR6210 RX set in very good condition which I no longer use and want to part with. Any interest for these here?

Hey all - it's been a while since we all got together so maybe it's about time we organised something.  Whilst the weather hasn't been super for calm flying, a few of us have still be getting out there and just tuning various projects, building completely new things and well, just playing around.

On an exciting note - well, for some - 3DR orders are now shipping internationally again.  For what was meant to be a 1-2 week delay, it's been somewhat longer, but I have a massive shipment of gear coming in if you're looking for something.

I'll be heading out again this weekend (Sunday morning) so if anyone is aruond, drop me a message or let me know.

    Cheers,
    David.

Aeronavics (Droidworx) gear

Hi guys,Just a heads up that I have just become a distributor for Aeronavics (ex Droidworx) gear and will be placing an initial order with them next week. For those that may not know, Droidworx create the heavy duty and professional gear that is very well engineered and highly functional.  So if you're looking to move from the kit copter look to something a little more professional, these would be the guys to check out.The quad frame which is compact and suitable for Point and Shoot, GoPro and…
