  Anyone know where I may be able to find older versions of the firmware for the arducopter, more specifically the one in which would have been in use last summer?

  Hello,
  Just have my first crash with my Y6 RTF...do not know exactly what happens, I load a small mission , read it to check it was inside correctly, then went to auto launch it took off went strait to around 50 mts and just moved to the oppossite side in a spin large curve, I went to RTL with no exit...went into big trees and broke tarot 2, riped two motors plus 5 propellers and the GPS antena...before going to repair it and fly again just want to understand what was going on, what did I wrong...
  I know these days GPS have been affected by the solar problems...but I am not sure..

  I have the logs I am uploading for someone to help me

  I own a Iris+ , supreme, never fail always work well... even after the crash I made a couple of flights with it and worked great.

  Hello folks,

  Would anyone happen to know wether or not it is simply just the module (xjt) that connects to a Frsky X8R, or does the Transmitter itself also store information (sync wise). The reason being is that I wish to also control my X8 with my Y6 controller. I have two XJT modules and two X8R modules (one on each drone) so I merely wishing to sync one module to each X8R so I simply have to swap modules on the Turnigy 9XR plus switch to X8 program on the Turnigy without having to re sync one module each time.

  Is this possible, or will the controller store the sync data thus adding it to the secondary XJT?

  After doing some more research I found that a lot of people claim to have minimal sparking even when connecting do to what they had claim to be the large amount of energy required to power the system. This does make some sense although, I would assume someone would look to correct this?

  However I don't think its ruined either, but merely corroded the negative side of the connector on the battery mains, which I also read that corrosion does occur over time due to the large power surge into the system upon plugging in. This could be wrong but it does seem somewhat as a plausible reasoning. The lipo worked so I'm assuming the connector isn't corroded beyond use...Although a connector change in the future after more wear may considered in order to ensure it operates effectively and efficiently.

  I should say I have crashed with this lipo in my Y6 several times from maybe say 4 meters each time (I haven't taken any of my drones up past say 10 meters yet, more or less for flight practice and testing), but none were overly damaging to even the Y6 itself with merely breaking a props and at one point broke a leg, so no effect to the lipo in that aspect thankfully.....

  @Craig, it does not seem like the lipo got damaged.  If it were, it would bulge a bit first, I would think (one of mine did after a crash).  But lets see what the others think...

  So I finally finished putting together my X8 tonight with the exception of the gps,

  and like on my Y6 the XT-60 connector is very snug for my lipo connection and often I try to baby it sort of speak in pushing the lipo into the connector, most of the time u hear a slight sound as though your rubbing live leads together (I know this is a terrible habit) but so far this has never cause me any issue except perhaps I think i had to restart the pixhawk once. 

  So long story short upon attempting to test my X8 out to see if my power system worked, I may have attempted to push my lip into the connector slightly gentler than normal and there was a tiny bit a smoke that came from the connectors. So I disconnected immediately checking the lip. It's a 3s Lipo 3300mah kypom. After testing it all cells seem to still be even 4.09,4.11,4.10. And I did notice some slight corrosion in the negative side of the lip connector. 

  After this I attempting to re try the Lipo on my Y6 just to make sure it worked, and it still powered the Y6 no issues, while the lipo still looks an feels fine temp wise, with no swelling ect.. 

  So should I simply discard the lip and search for a new one, or is it still fine just do not repeat this again?

  I have it in my lipo bag currently as I don't have an outdoor space to store it in due to current living situation (upper level apt) for the now to monitor any changes, but since I'm not completely comfortable with lipo's yet I'm asking for any advice. As I know lipo technology has greatly improved over the past years so maybe I'm over thinking this as I've always kept the lipos in their respective vehicles when both are stored in their containers.

  I should note that it was not the X8 wiring that caused the issue as I have several other 850mah 3s lipos I used pushing the connection in with more force and the X8 powered up perfectly fine.

  I'm not to sure as of yet...They each have there benefits i suppose like the

  Y6 I'm assuming will be less stable in increased wind conditions, and can g=fold up nicely for transport in a backpack style case while the

  Iris+ is light and probably the quickest and easiest to get up and going, while the

  X8+ would probably be the most redundant, allowing me to work in a greater variation of conditions, with more tech mounted to it...

  I'm hoping to get out in the next couple of weeks to run some tests and compare them all so I will get back to you then with a more definitive answer but next is sense and avoid systems like Intels new Realsense ect...I think I'd like to build one with a Intel based Autopilot that has more power, perhaps something along the lines of ascending technologies i7 Intel based system.

  Well after 4 weeks of trying to source props for my Y6 at my LHS and being told 3 times they expected them the next day I broke down and ordered them from APC.  Placed the order early Friday morning and had them in my hand this Monday evening.  My hat is off to the folks at APC.  Two flights tonight, Awesome.
