  Do you have the original 3DR Neo6 Gps or another unit so you can try that in place of the 8?

  Where did you purchase the 8? I purchased the 8 that Hobbyking just started selling and it was plug and play getting 18 Sats in less then a Min.

  @Tom I really would doubt it's the pixhawk as it's just telling you what the gps is saying. Do you have another gps to try? But it sounds like a bad gps to me.

  Thanks for your comment. I did a lot of plugging in and out - no joy. I tried using the Serial 4/5 port - got 4 Sats and 14 hdop. Checked the voltage from the GPS port = 4.97V. Checked the rechargable battery on the Neo = 2.94V.

  Could it be the Pixhawk's fault?

  @Tom

  That is certainly not normal in most area's. I would be highly suspect of the gps or the connection to the pixhawk. I typically get 10-12 sats in under 3 minutes. In flight it goes to 16 or more. Very concistant too.  Unplug the wires to the pix and re-secure and see if it's better.

  Greetings to all,

  If I may cut in for a moment, I'm fairly new to the Pixhawk FC and need to ask a question. I managed to get everything setup under AC V3.2.1 Hexa. I'm having a problem, though, with using a Neo-M8N with compass. Outside, under a clear sky, it takes 4 to 7 minutes to get a fix. When it does get a fix, I only get 4 or 5 Sats with an hdop of around 12.8!

  All indication are that the Pixhawk is working fine .My question is: can anyone tell me if the low Sats and high hdop could be caused by the Pixhawk, or should I send the GPS back?

  Hey thanks friend! I admit sometimes I am not a smart man, lol. I was pulling my hairs out, I appreciate the help. Sometimes it takes the clarity of a outsider to point out the obvious. Works perfectly, thanks for the assist.

  and that receiver side you are connecting the sbus plug

  I have same settings (but 8 CH) and its working...

  @djtrickee,

  I assume that you have the cable from the receiver to RCIN connected correctly? The negative (-) pin should be on the top side of the Pixhawk.

  Good day,

  Having a problem, I'm getting no power on the RCIN port to my X8R receiver.

  
  I am working on getting my hex finished up and upon hooking up my receiver (X8R) to the RCIN on my Pixkhawk it is not getting powered up.
  Gear:
  4S battery
  3DR PDB
  Frsky X8R receiver (D16 mode) *tried 2 different ones
  Taranis radio
  All cables are hooked up to the Pixhawk including button, buzzer, etc.
  Both the green lights for power are on solid on the top of the Pixhawk also.
  Everything I have read states that the RCIN should be providing power to the receiver correct?
  I have my ESCs attached to the MAIN out 1-6 with signal and ground only. *Also tried having motor 1 ESC with signal, power, and ground and no difference.
  Any ideas what I could be missing or what is going on with that? Do I need to be powering my X8R receiver via a 5V ubec or something?

  Emax 40 amp simonk esc's not working with Pixhawk.Works fine connected to x8r receiver. Is there a fix for these? Or, should I look elsewhere for esc's?
