APM 2.6 No Gps problem

undefinedHi everyone

About a week ago I got my APM 2.6 with Ublox

I programmed it and loaded the firmware, everything worked great

Yesterday I hooked up everything again and got a NO GPS problem

Nothing I do fixes it...this was outside with a clear view of the sky.

It doesn't even look like the GPS and APM are connecting at all.

Anyone have a idea what the problem might be?

PS: In stats I have zero value for all GPS and Sat related things

On APM itself I have solid Red

There is no receiver or battery connected, just USB

  • Hi I'm having the exact problem and nothing i research is giving me answers.
Did you end up solving this???
  • Hi

Took so time with school and stuff so didn't get time to get to my hobby :(

I have opened and tested with a voltmeter.

I am even getting readings of just under and around 3volts on various points around the gps as well as the main pads.

    Both Led's still don't work

Is it possible that something in the GPS blew at some point and if so is the answer to get a new one.

I hear what you say about interference but this is different.

The APM and Planner literally doesn't recognise any GPS

  • Are you sure you have the gps connected to the correct port ?

Have you tried measuring the voltage on the gps pads ? If you search you can easily find out which of the 4 pads are the +ve and gnd with the other 2 being data lines.

It sounds you might have some EMI(interference) that is jamming the gps signal. Try holding the GPS higher above (20cm) your quad/plane and seeing if it acquires any sats. GPS is somwhere around 1400-1500 (cant remember the exact freq) and other devs like telemetry radios(433), tx jam gps because they are a harmonic(multiple). Quite a few other electronic devs emit 433 frequencies eg: mobius.

Keep lowering the gps until you get no sats, then lift above to a safe reliable height.
