So I think my compass is reading wrong which is causing the loiter function to do gigantic overshoots in a toilet bowl effect, orbiting the point.
When I set my quad on my porch, or anywhere I have clear geo-references and connect to Mission Planner the heading of the Quad is clearly off by about 15-20 degrees. I am in the Chicago Area, have my declination set to -3.6 my offsets are:
x -53.5
y 38.7
z 34.4
I have done the calibration method a few times, tried using my logs a few times and just generated offsets by flying a few times and they generally always come out about the same.
If I set my dec to +20 the heading is pretty close, but I know that wrong.
Any ideas?
Ted

I have pretty much the same result. :(
I'm sure something is wrong with the compass code, but it's way too complicated for me to figure out.
