I'm building a pair of antennas for 5.8Ghz FPV, and I'm wondering if the length of the coaxial cable between the connector and the clover matter. A second question I have, for the TX I don't have a right angle connector, so it would be a problem if I just bend the coaxial cable so the antenna it's vertical?

  • usually matters the part of antenna which is active or radiant, out of coaxial cable. you can have a couple of inches the coaxial cable, but if you want more, then you can have some attenuation on the cable and you need to compensate somehow.
