I am tasked with finding an alternative to the DLE-20 engine. The UAV we are designing has the following specifications:
Mass: 12.25 kg
Endurance: 3 hours
Cruising Speed: 100km/h
Powerplant: Petrol Engine
Launch System: Rail Launch
Retrieval System: Parachute
Take-off altitude: 5500 feet
Maintenance: Annual
Price: $ 15,000 (approximately)
Current engine: DLE-20
Can you please suggest any alternatives and its pros/cons or just suggest any problems you had with any engine with similar specifications (about 20-30 cc). Also, if you can suggest an engine with an EFI system instead of carburetor, that would be great!
