Feasibility of this project.

Hi, I am planning to build an Arducopter quad, which will be used for surveillance purposes. What I was thinking of implementing is to make the copter follow a vehicle from the entrance of a yard to the office building and while it does this, relay a video feed to a workstation for monitoring. The tracking should be automatic and not in any way manually assisted.

What I've thought up so far is to have a miniature wireless cam mounted on the copter, with an optical flow sensor and sonar module. Python scripting will be used to plan the flight and separate software for the monitoring part. How are the possibilities of completing this? What else do I need to do/get to get it working?

p.s. accessories are not a problem as I am funded by a company, for a project.
