First aid drones in emergency situations

Hi guys,

We four international students as a team who are studying in master in innovation & Business programme in SDU(Southern Denmark University). Actually, we got an idea about drones in the High-tech business venturing course this semester. We try to use the drone in emergency situations.

We did a research on line and find here, it is a really good place for consulting from professional people about our project.

Could you please provide any comments or suggestions if you like? Like drones size, weight, distance of it? Even like do you have any market recommendation? For now, we just focus on emergency service dept. in Denmark and Pakistan, it is not realistic to be implemented in China.

Besides, We do concern about the performance of the drones. Like 2-5kg capacity is the normal range, 20-40mins for flying, 5km-7km for the whole trip.

Please contact me with xulyu16@student.sdu.dk / melodylyu0801@gmail.com if you like.

So, let me take a summary of description of our project.

Description of the idea
Our idea is to use drones as first aid in any kinds of emergency situations, e.g. floods, fire, earthquakes etc. First aid drones will include defibrillator, general medicine, bandages, gauze, life vests and the like.
The product with..
  • Transportation of medical- and lifesaving equipment (e.g. defibrillator, general medicine, bandages, gauze, life vests, food)
  • Communication devices (camera and microphone for communication between the injured party and the doctors)
  • Surveillance devices (camera (thermal) that can overlook at huge area in order to find emergency ways to the disaster)
  • GPS
Problem we are trying to address is..
  • people risking their own lives to get to an emergency
  • the long wait for emergency vehicles
  • the impossibility of emergency vehicles to get to an emergency
Possible customers could be…
  • emergency services (in different countries)
  • NGOs (e.g. Red Cross, WHO)
Challenges we face right now is to find..
  • interested parties, organisations, suppliers and so on
  • a mentor to assess the idea (a medical professional)

Thanks.
