Has a Flight Repeater/Copier/Mirror Mode ever been considered for APM2?
I.e you fly a pattern or route and the 'copter or 'plane records the flight and then at the flick of a switch would repeat the pattern you've just flown.

Channel 7 by default will record position to EEPROM as an on the fly mission. You can take off, hit CH7 to set your takeoff altitude and first position, then fly as you will, toggling ch7 high for a second for each WP.
Then you can land and bring throttle to 0, hit CH7 again and it will record a landing command. This is only on the copter unless someone's ported it to the plane.
It's not a constant recording path since the EEPROM is so limited. If you wanted, a Flash based solution could be built with real-time recording, but logging would need to be disabled.
