Follow-Me Command, Trouble Using feature

I'm testing out all the features MissionPlanner has to offer, one of which is the Follow-Me command.  I tried but could not get this feature to work.  I verified that the GPS receiver worked by locating my position through GoogleEarth.

The instructions I used:

Equipment:

     -Stock 3D robotics Quadcopter

     -Spectrum DX8

     -IBM thinkpad laptop w/ windows7 pro

     -GlobalSat's BU-353 usb GPS receiver
