Futaba T8J and Arducopter

Hi,

I'm pretty new to quadcopters.

I have built a 3dr arducopter and linked it to a Futaba T8J radio.

I have everything working but cant fly it. Using a hand test (while running) it is stable in roll but does not push back in forward pitch I can hear the motors change but no real change in physics.

The throttle control is "glitchy" and the motors turn on when I turn the radio off, at one time I left it in idle and it crept to fyull throttle on its own. Have checked all wiring from the apm output side is good. Not ceetain about radio settings or inputs although I followed the standard 1 aileron, 2 elevator, 3 throttle, 4 rudder, pattern.

Can anyone help ?

That Futuba model has a weird PPM encoding scheme and, depending on when you bought your APM, may need an updated PPM encoder firmware. Instructions on upgrading the PPM encoder are here
