I would like to hear from people who have used the HMC5883L and the MPU9150 (AK8975). While trying the sensors as a compass, we realised that the 9150 was very noisy and varied between -2 and 2 degrees about a mean value while the hmc was more stable and varied between -0.5 to 0.5 from its mean value. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a more stable values out the 9150 when used as a compass.
Also on the hmc, you can change the sensitivity. Is it possible to do so on the 9150?
We are trying to use a single 9 dof sensor but the 9150 isn't up to the task for now. Anyone know of a 9 dof sensor that we can use.
