How do I mount this motor?

I'm working on a quad, following no particular design. I have a frame and these motors, but I can't figure out how to attach them. I've been fiddling with the pile of bullshit hardware that comes with them (no instructions to be found) but still no solution.

Here's the frame:3691107506?profile=original

Is there any info on how to attach these? At the product link above, the second photo has the mysterious mounting hardware.

Sorry if this is a stupid question with an obvious answer.

  • Your motors have M3 threaded mount holes on the bottom (the end with the shaft) at 16mm and 19mm. If your yellowish mount is done right you'll find one set of holes at 16 mm and the other at 19 mm. You bolt the motor directly to the yellowish plate. You won't use that black cross piece that comes with the motor. You might have to track down some very short M3 screws if those flat head screws shown as coming with the motor aren't long enough.

    • The holes on the motors don't quite align with the holes on the frame.

      • I just found out that I can attach the motor to the inside holes of the black plate, and is outside holes will fit onto the frame. Never mind!

        • Actually I don't even need to do this. Apparently the holes on the motors don't form a perfect square, and I had it rotated the wrong way.
